Dr Sue Stannard is the Chief Medical Adviser for the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Prior to that she was the author of the International Medical Guide for Seafarers and Fishers, sponsored by the International Chamber of Shipping. Sue worked at the Norwegian Centre of Maritime and Diving Medicine until July 2020 and has previously held Medical Director positions at Carnival UK and International SOS, London. She also spent time at sea as a ship’s doctor.
Sue is an active member of the International Maritime Health Association and has contributed to many published documents on the management of Covid-19 in the maritime setting.
