Dr. Joanne McVeigh is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology and the ALL (Assisting Living & Learning) Institute, Maynooth University, Ireland. Previous appointments include a Lectureship at the School of Applied Psychology, University College Cork. Joanne's PhD focused on psychosocial factors in merchant seafaring, commissioned by Shell International B.V. She has presented at several international conferences in relation to disability, human rights, social inclusion, and organisational psychology, across South Africa, the Philippines, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, and the U.K. Joanne is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Work and Organisational Psychologist of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
